DEVLOG OF THE GAME
How the game gets built. Honestly.
Every notable change to the game Koonsultancy, written up as it happened. Bugs included. Back to the game.

A log, not a discussion. That's what the forum is for.
Every colleague gets a face, the cards get pips, and the first project plays itself out
Version 1.18 went out today: all 69 colleagues have a face on their pass, the number cards carry pips like a real deck and the court cards a portrait, the team on the playing field reads as people instead of formulas, a brand-new player starts with a guided first engagement, and the site got a trailer, a press kit and a count of where players drop off.
Four final bosses, and colleagues who only call in sick for a sprint
Version 1.15 went out today: the last engagement of every round is now a final boss with a rule of its own, a colleague who burns out is back after a single sprint, and the partner levels each get their own price for certifications and their own pace of scope creep.
The office moves in: casino cards, manila folders, and a staff yearbook
Version 1.14 went out today: nothing new to play, but almost everything you touch now looks like the thing it is. Your hand is a deck of casino cards, debts arrive as yellow reminders, engagements come in manila folders, the archive is a drawer of hanging files, your colleagues are in a yearbook, the partner levels are metal cards, and the client now interrupts you by e-mail and by chat.
The drinks get a desk drawer, a casino wheel, and a certificate for gamblers
Version 1.13 went out today: the drinks after every engagement now sell one-off items you keep in a desk drawer, now and then a carnival ticket gets you one spin of Crazy Time, there is a certificate for people who know they are winning, and the controller and keyboard got a long list of small fixes.
The spreadsheet overflows, the project gets a status, and every tune joins in
Version 1.12 went out today: the box that adds up your sprint turns into a spreadsheet that overflows when you go far over target, the scope bar shows a project status that slides from green to deep red, messages appear where you are actually looking, and each of the four tunes got its own sounds for all of it.

The game meets a real Steam Deck, and learns to use the whole screen
A colleague nobody could hire, a horse full of colleagues, and a rank called Evil Corp
Four tunes, one motif, and a tape that slows down
A game for your desktop, a robot with a controller, and one invisible character
Guests on the board, a podium in the menu, and Evil Corp in its own red
The devlog gets its own pages, and the site learns to count without looking
Anyone could be anyone on the leaderboard, and the tender changes its terms
A card table that fits every screen, and a purple you can actually see
An English that counted differently, a seed that stays put, and a game you can install
Mail from a real mailbox, a leaderboard with context, and the last C leaves the address bar
A leaderboard nobody could reach, and a homepage that finally leads with the game
The forum moves into the header, and a gap that refused to explain itself
The decoy retires — the noticeboard becomes a forum
Two domains, one language, and one certificate short
Cleaning up, and finding two pieces of work that never arrived
Build #11 failed, and nobody saw it
The file that never arrived
Coonsultancy becomes Koonsultancy
A decoy on the noticeboard
The medallion, the bronze, and the ornaments that switched three times
Live, and automated right away
Three things the first concept still lacked
The weekend everything started beeping, sliding and counting
The beginning: a pun that had to become a brand
THE GAME
This is what it's all for.
